Directors Election 2026

Deadline for Filing for Candidacy:

The deadline to file an application for a place on the May 2, 2026 General Election Ballot is Friday, February 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The first day that such application may be filed is Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The last day to file a Declaration of Write-In Candidacy is Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Fecha límite para presentar la candidatura:

La fecha límite para presentar una solicitud para un lugar en la boleta de las elecciones generales del 2 de mayo de 2026 es el viernes 13 de febrero de 2026 a las 5:00 p. m. El primer día en que se puede presentar dicha solicitud es el miércoles 14 de enero de 2026. El último día para presentar una Declaración de Candidatura por Escrito es el martes 17 de febrero de 2026.

Hạn chót để nộp đơn xin một vị trí trong Lá phiếu Tổng tuyển cử ngày 2 tháng 5 năm 2026 là Thứ Sáu, ngày 13 tháng 2 năm 2026 lúc 5 giờ chiều. Ngày đầu tiên có thể nộp đơn như vậy là Thứ Tư, ngày 14 tháng 1 năm 2026. Ngày cuối cùng để nộp Tuyên bố về Ứng cử viên Viết tên là Thứ Ba, ngày 17 tháng 2 năm 2026.

Qualifications for Office:

To be eligible to be a candidate for the position of Director, a person must:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Be a resident citizen of the State of Texas; and
  • Either own land subject to taxation in the District or be a qualified voter within the District.

Requisitos para postularse para un Cargo:

Para ser elegible para ser candidato al cargo de Director, es obligatorio:

  • Tener, como mínimo, 18 años;
  • Ser ciudadano residente del Estado de Texas, y
  • Ser propietario de un terreno sujeto a impuestos en el Distrito o ser un votante habilitado dentro del Distrito.
